Help me to raise money to help find a cure for cancer
My 10th Tour de Cure #TDC10
TEST This year I will be riding in my 10th Tour de Cure Signature Tour
It seems so long ago now that I was training and fundraising for my first Tour de Cure ride. I can remember that first year (2010) as I was approaching the ride I had a lot of excitement mixed with an equal amount of trepidation.
The ride from Sydney to Mooloolaba in Queensland was the hugest physical challenge I had ever done. I am not talking a little outside my comfort zone, we are talking about a decision bordering on lunacy :-). Before I purchased my first road bike on February 18th 2010, I hadn’t ridden more than 25km and I had signed up to ride 1400km. Looking back now I have no idea why I thought I could ride 1400km in 10 days but I had a great reason to try. Check out why I got started here.
Now 10 years later I sit here writing this with the same excitement and the same trepidation but a sense of pride to be involved in raising over 40 million dollars for cancer research. In that time we have funded hundreds of projects and made 23 major cancer breakthroughs!
This year’s Tour is going to be a tough one as it has lots of hills but once again I am willing to do the hard yards to help to find a cure.
I am proud to ride for Tour de Cure and I hope that you will support me by clicking the Donate Now link to help me reach my fundraising target.
